At Staplecross we believe in working in partnership with parents and families. When parents choose to send their child to our school we welcome the whole family on a shared journey from Reception to Year 6. We have an "open door" policy and encourage parents to speak to their child's class teacher about any problems or concerns. We prefer this to be after the school day or, if that is difficult, parents are welcome to phone the office to make a date and time for a more formal meeting.

Parent consultation evenings are held in the autumn and spring terms, when you will have an opportunity to discuss your child's progress. At the end of the academic year you will receive a full written report on your child's development and we hold an open afternoon at the very end of the summer term for you to share your child's books with them. This is also an opportunity to discuss any issues arising from the child's report with the class teacher.

In order to keep parents fully informed about school life we send out regular newsletters and use Parentmail for reminders and updates. Paper copies of the newsletters are available outside the office or they can be found on the website.
